Why join the EAOA?

The EAOA conducts sports specific meetings to make sure each of our members is ready to officiate.  We utilize email and internet services to keep our members "in the know".

As an IHSA Recognized Association, the EAOA provides Certified Clinics to IHSA registered officials.

Members of the EAOA can take advantage of the discounts we offer on IHSA Certified Clinics, officiating merchandise, and group events.

  • Mentors

Our members have a wide range of experience at all levels of sports.  We have members that have over 50 years of experience and most of our members currently work at the High School or Collegiate levels.  These fine officials are always willing to help out newer officials.

  • Game Assignments

Members receive preferred access to lower level game assigments.

Are you getting the most out of your local association?
Members of the EAOA that took advantage of clinics offered this past year (2018 - 2019) received over one-half of their annual dues in membership discounts.
Those members that officiated Football and/or Volleyball were offered 6 FREE meetings, in each sport, to review rules and case situations this Fall.
Members that officiated the sport of Basketball were provided 6 FREE preseason meetings.
Our Baseball and Softball Umpires were invited to attend our annual clinics in both sports and 6 FREE meetings for each sport.  These meetings were used to discuss rule and mechanics changes.
Since June 1, 2010 the EAOA has offered its members 308 learning opportunities.
